FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A new landscape or outdoor living space is a meaningful investment, and it is normal to want clear answers before you commit. GoldGlo Landscapes built a structured, transparent process so you know who you are working with, what happens next, and how your project moves from first idea to finished space, all managed by one dedicated point of contact. These questions cover what we build, how we work, and whether we are the right fit for your property in Millersburg, Harrisburg, Hershey, and the surrounding Central Pennsylvania communities.

GoldGlo is best suited to homeowners who want a designed, professionally built outdoor space and a team that manages the full project. We are not the right fit for quick one-off fixes, the lowest-bid jobs, or piecemeal work pulled together with no design behind it. Clients who value craftsmanship, communication, and a long-term outdoor space are where we do our best work.
-
GoldGlo serves Millersburg, Harrisburg, Hershey, Mechanicsburg, Camp Hill, Enola, Lemoyne, Hummelstown, Linglestown, Upper Allen Township, and the surrounding Central Pennsylvania communities. Our team works across the region from our Millersburg base. If you are nearby and unsure whether you are in range, reach out and we will confirm.
Process
-
GoldGlo is a true design-build company, so the same team designs your outdoor space and constructs it. This keeps your design intent intact from the first concept through the finished installation, with no handoff to an outside builder. It also means one team stays accountable for the whole project.
-
After you reach out, the first step is an onsite design consultation where we walk your property, listen to your ideas, take measurements, and offer suggestions. Our designers then create a custom design and a detailed proposal covering materials, process, and total price. Once you approve the proposal, we manage everything from permitting through completion.
-
A custom design and a detailed written proposal are presented before any construction begins. The proposal lays out materials, the process, and the full project price so you understand the scope and investment up front. Construction only starts after you have reviewed and accepted it.
-
Your project is managed by GoldGlo as your single dedicated point of contact, acting as your general contractor of the outdoors. We coordinate the design, crews, scheduling, and any permitting so you are not juggling separate contractors. This is what keeps a multi-part project organized and on track.
Communication & Accountability
-
Clients receive frequent project updates throughout construction so you can follow the progress as your space comes together. With a single point of contact managing the details, you always know who to reach and what stage the project is in. Clear, consistent communication is a core part of how GoldGlo works.
-
GoldGlo manages projects with its own team and crews rather than handing your project off to unknown subcontractors. This is what lets us hold consistent quality and accountability from design through construction and into maintenance. One team responsible for the whole project is central to how we operate.
-
Responsiveness and strong communication are priorities at GoldGlo, and clients reach a dedicated point of contact rather than a general line. We aim to keep you informed and to answer questions promptly throughout the project. Being easy to reach is part of the experience we are known for.
Construction & Performance
-
Designs at GoldGlo account for Central Pennsylvania's four seasons and freeze-thaw cycles in both material choices and plant selection. Hardscape is built on proper bases engineered for our climate, and plantings are chosen to thrive in local conditions. Designing for the region is what keeps a finished landscape durable and healthy over time.
-
GoldGlo builds with quality pavers, natural stone, and engineered wall systems selected for durability and appearance in our climate. Specific materials are chosen during design to fit your project's look, structural needs, and budget, then confirmed in your proposal. We review the options with you so the selections match your space.
-
Lower-maintenance options are available and are planned into the design when that is a priority for you. Choices like appropriate plant selection, hardscape, and irrigation can reduce ongoing upkeep. We discuss your maintenance preferences during design so the finished landscape fits how much care you want to invest.
-
Large, multi-feature projects are a core strength at GoldGlo, since one team designs and coordinates patios, walls, pools, kitchens, fire and water features, plantings, and lighting together. Managing it under one roof keeps materials, flow, and scheduling consistent across the whole space. This integrated approach is what produces a cohesive finished result.
Pricing & Getting Started
-
Project pricing is determined by the design, the materials selected, the features included, and the scope of work for your specific property. After your consultation and design, GoldGlo provides a detailed proposal with clear pricing before any work begins. You see the full investment up front rather than an open-ended estimate.
-
Financing for outdoor living projects is available through GoldGlo's financing partner, making larger projects more accessible. Details and options are covered during the process so you can plan the investment in a way that works for you. We can point you to the financing information when you are ready.
-
Getting started mainly requires your ideas, priorities, and access to walk the property during an onsite consultation. From there our designers handle the measurements, design, and planning. The more you can share about how you want to use the space, the better the design fits your goals.
-
Moving forward starts with scheduling your onsite design consultation, where we learn about your property and your vision. After we present your custom design and proposal and you approve it, we manage the project from permitting through completion. From there, you can add a maintenance plan to keep the finished space cared for.
Maintenance & Long-Term Care
-
Ongoing maintenance is available through GoldGlo's landscape care plans, covering plant and bed care, seasonal cleanups, fertilization, mulching, and more. The same team that designed and built your space can keep it cared for the way it was intended. Continuing care protects the investment over the long term.
-
Maintenance services are offered whether or not GoldGlo originally designed and built the landscape. We review your property first to understand what it needs, then recommend the right level of care. Our care plans are built around the health and appearance of your specific landscape.
-
Ongoing landscape care protects the plantings, hardscape, and features you invested in by keeping them healthy, clean, and structurally sound through the seasons. Regular attention prevents small issues from becoming costly repairs. Consistent care is what keeps a finished landscape looking the way it did on day one.
We know what it's like to feel overwhelmed when you're considering starting a new landscape project.
